One
of fundraising efforts of the Friends of The South Pasadena
Public Library
is the Technology Endowment Fund (TEF), established in
2007. The TEF was initiated in order to enhance the library's
ability to pursue items and resources
of a technological or digital nature that were not covered
through library's material budget nor the Book Endowment
Fund. As the invested
Fund monies grow over time, the available generated interest
will enhance the library's ability to stay current with
technology developments as they occur and provide continued growth of the library's
digital resources for the library community.
Donations for the TEF can be made in three ways. Choose the simple method that you prefer:
|
| |
1. Online: Using a VISA or MasterCard
2. By Mail: Make your check payable to "Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library," indicate "Technology Endowment Fund" in the memo section, and mail it to us:
Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library
1100 Oxley Street
South Pasadena CA 91030
3. Visit us: Envelopes for TEF donations may be found at the Reference Desk in the library or in the Friends Bookstore on the second floor.

BOOK ENDOWMENT FUND
(see General
Information also) |
|
The longstanding Book
Endowment Fund is the fund most familiar to Friends' members.
Book plates identifying that a book was purchased through
the auspices of the BEF can be found in many of the books
currently in circulation at the library. Books considered
for purchase through the BEF are not normally purchased
through the library materials budget. Contributions to
the BEF are placed into an interest-bearing account, and
it is the interest generated from the account that funds
the purchase of "special titles of long-lasting interest
to the citizens of South Pasadena. . ." Although
there has been no active BEF drive in the past two years,
the BEF is alive and well, and those patrons who would
like to are invited to make donations to the BEF.
