Latest Information from the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library
"Between Friends" is a quarterly online newsletter for members of the Friends of teh south Pasadena Public Library and other library supporters. The publication contains information about current events and programs of the Friends and the Library.
Dear Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library,
Since March, so much has changed for all of us - including our beloved public library.
While the library's building is closed to the public, the staff is still working hard to serve our community. Here are just a few of the ways they have provided important services since the shutdown:
Launched the Library Take Out program, that has checked out more than 19,000 items since June 15
Reimagined the Summer Reading Program, and the virtual version had 1,095 participants who read 7,742 hours total
Provided materials about timely subjects, such as the popular “Explore the Black Lives Matter Movement” ebook/eaudiobook collection
The Friends of the South Pasadena Library provides vital funds for library services like these and so much more. We are reaching out to you today because the pandemic has impacted the Friends of the Library Bookstore, which is our primary source of funds used to support the library. Closed since mid-March, we anticipate a $32,000 shortfall in revenue this year, which will have a major impact on the services and programs we are able to fund for our library.
A gift in any amount will help protect the services our community depends on.

Thank you for your support.
